David Whitehead

‘Sometimes, it is very interesting to go against what seems logical.‘

David Whitehead sees his pots as a canvas, which he approaches as a painter. With a palette of different colours of slip, he intuitively creates a varied surface. But this variation also comes from the deformation of the pots and the different ways of firing. The layered structure creates depth, further enhanced by the sporadic glaze application.
